Lesson 1 - GETTING STARTED​

I./. OBJECTIVE:By the end of the lesson, students can:

- Use the lexical items related to television.

- Use conjunctions (but, and, because …) and question words (where, who, why)

- Ask and talk about a favorite TV programme.

- Read a TV schedule and descriptions of famous children’s programmes for specific information.

- Listen for specific information from a recommended TV schedude.

- Write a short, guided passage about one’s TV-watching habits.

- Grammar: Giving instruction

Skills: Speaking, listening, reading

Attitude: - Positive about television.

- Students know how to learn English in right way.

Brainstorming Aims:help students have an overview about television Contents: Find out some popular TV programme Products: Popular channel in the board. Organization: - T. asks Ss to look at the picture and talk about the popular programme on TV. T. introduces lesson.	Look at the picture and answer the T’s question:
ACTIVITY 2. Knowledge Formation (17’)
Getting-started: Aims: provide sts neccesary words and structure for understanding and learning the conversation. Contents: - new words from the conversation Products: - New words Organization: New words * Vocabulary. T. elicits words from Ss Rub out and remember	I. ACTIVITY 3: Practice (10’)
Aims: help sts have some concepts about popular programme all over the world Contents: - famous programme - words about television Products: - P58 Organization: - T. asks Ss to look at the picture and asks Ss to talk what the boys in the picture are doing. - Ss look at the book and listen. - T. plays record and asks Ss to listen act 1 - Ss look at the book on P 58 and listen to the conversation carefully. - T. asks Ss to work in pairs - T. calls some pair to role play. (one is Phong and the other is Hung) - Ss work in group of four to do part a)- T. asks Ss to read the dialogue again and work in pairs to find the adjectives describing each character in the conversation and fill the blanks. - Ss work in pairs and give the answers - T. calls some Ss to read their answers	1.
