You should use the clues to make questions and ask your friend. Your friend will answer the questions based on the notice he/she has. Here are your cards. You will have 30 seconds to prepare. You can make notes on the paper.

A: About 30 kilometres. It’s next to the Đáy River. |
B: It’s not very far. What can we do there? |
A: Ngoc’s grandparents live there. They are great artisans. They can teach us how to make conical hats. Ngoc can also show us around the village. |
B: So when and where will we meet? |
A: I’ll see you at the school gate at 7 a.m. this Sunday. Then Ngoc’s father will drive us to the village in his car. |
B: Should I bring anything? |
A: Some drinks and fruits will be nice. |
B: OK. See you then. Thanks for inviting me. |

B: No, because there’s so much to do within walking distance. People don’t need cars very often. |
A: Great! What can people do there? |
B: They go to the bars, restaurants or gyms. I especially like the food in Daisy Restaurant. |
A: Are there any places for families? |
B: Sure. My family usually goes to parks such as Greenfields. They organise lots of activities for children. Sometimes we go the public library to borrow books. There are also good schools nearby. |
A: It seems to be a perfect place. How are the people? |
B: It is said that city people are cold and unfriendly. But in Jollyland, there is a sense of community. People including original residents and new arrivals love living here. They say it’s almost like living in a village. |

4. | Why do you like it? … it’s a beautiful place … it’s not what you would call a sprawling city … it’s quite compact really and you could walk across the city in a couple of hours … but there’s no need to do that as we have a fantastic public transport system so it’s easy to get around … there are various districts all with their own character … you have the upmarket shops in the centre … you’ll find lots of chain stores you’ll recognise from your own country but also local brands as well … we have the narrow streets in the Gothic district with lots of fashionable boutiques and tourist attractions … there’s the Olympic area and the beaches along the coast … and dotted around the city are some lovely public spaces … parks and squares in the city centre and on the outskirts of Barcelona where people relax with their friends and family … and of course pavement cafes everywhere … all that and some great historical places of interest … so a great destination for tourists … chain stores: well-known brands with shops in multiple cities fashionable boutiques: fashionable clothes shops - to get around: to travel around - sprawling city: a city that has grown over time and which covers a wide area |
